Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and MILLIONHARI LLC (“Khaos,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Khaos mobile application, the khaos-web.vercel.app website, and our related messaging services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, using the app, accepting a buddy invitation, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Khaos is a faith-based digital accountability app that helps people reduce compulsive phone use and avoid unwanted content. The Service includes app and website blocking, scheduled blocking, screen-time insights, devotional content, and an optional accountability-buddy feature that lets a trusted contact approve or deny requests to remove blocks.

Khaos is a self-improvement tool. It is not a medical, psychological, or counseling service, and it does not provide professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are struggling, consider speaking with a qualified professional.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 18 (or have a parent or guardian’s permission) to purchase a subscription. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Accountability Buddy and Text Messaging

The buddy feature lets you invite one trusted contact to act as your accountability partner. By entering a contact’s name and phone number, you represent that you have that person’s permission to share their number with us and to have a single invitation text message sent to them on your behalf.

A buddy becomes a participant in the Service only if they accept the invitation. After accepting, the buddy will receive text messages only when you take actions that require their attention (for example, a request to unblock apps) — typically fewer than 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

Buddies can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, and can get assistance by replying HELP or contacting mikemhari@gmail.com. Opting out ends the buddy relationship’s messaging; we will not text that number again unless a new invitation is accepted.

Buddies are never shown the content you view, your browsing history, or your screen contents — only that you have made a request and the reason you chose to share.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

Some features require a paid subscription, billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Pricing is shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel them in your app-store account settings. Refunds are handled by the app store under their policies.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • invite a person as a buddy without their permission, or use the Service to harass, monitor, or control another person without their consent;
  • attempt to circumvent, probe, or disable the Service’s blocking features other than through the flows the app provides;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create in the Service, such as journal entries and check-in notes. You grant us the limited license needed to store, encrypt, transmit, and display that content back to you in order to operate the Service. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content we provide (such as devotional materials), is owned by MILLIONHARI LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT BLOCKING WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR IMPOSSIBLE TO CIRCUMVENT, THAT MESSAGES WILL BE DELIVERED WITHOUT DELAY, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MILLION HARI LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS IF YOU HAVE PAID NOTHING.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7–12) will survive.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
