Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 5, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how MILLIONHARI LLC (“Khaos,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Khaos mobile app, the khaos-web.vercel.app website, and our related messaging services (together, the “Service”). Khaos exists to help people break free from compulsive phone use — privacy is foundational to that mission, and we collect the minimum we need to run the Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. Your name or display name, email address, and authentication identifiers when you create an account.
Buddy contact information. If you invite an accountability buddy, we collect the name and phone number you provide for that contact so we can send the invitation and subsequent approval messages.
Usage and progress data. Check-ins, streak and restoration markers, blocking schedules, and your blocklist settings.
Journal entries. Content you write in the app, stored encrypted at rest.
What we do not collect. We do not collect or store your browsing history, the content you view, or screenshots of your activity. Screen-time and app-usage data processed through Apple’s Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. Your accountability buddy is only ever shown that you made a request and any reason you chose to share — never what you looked at.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To send buddy invitation and approval text messages you initiate;
- To process subscriptions and manage your account;
- To respond to support requests;
- To protect the security and integrity of the Service;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your personal information for third-party advertising.
4. Text Messaging and Consent
Buddy invitations are initiated by an existing Khaos user. The invited contact receives one invitation message and is not messaged further unless they accept the invitation, which constitutes their consent to receive accountability-related messages. Message frequency varies and is typically fewer than 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for assistance.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages described above.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf to operate the Service, under contractual confidentiality obligations:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and backend hosting;
- Twilio — delivery of buddy invitation and approval text messages;
- RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription management and billing;
- Vercel — hosting of the buddy approval web pages.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy will continue to apply to previously collected data).
6. Data Security and Retention
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest; journal entries are additionally encrypted at the application level. We retain your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Buddy phone numbers associated with declined or removed relationships are no longer used for messaging.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and deletion — you can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account by contacting us at mikemhari@gmail.com;
- Messaging opt-out — buddies can reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving messages;
- Buddy removal — you can end a buddy relationship in the app at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR, including the rights to correct, port, or restrict the processing of your data. We honor such requests sent to mikemhari@gmail.com.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. The effective date above reflects the latest revision.
